Walter "Stephen" Thayer, IV
Co-Founder, Managing Partner
Over 15 years, Stephen has established a career in the energy industry as a distinctive strategist, founder, and operator. In 2009, he executed the first international desk at Good Energy in New York City, while co-writing the strategy which would lead to the management of over 1% of the United States population’s retail electricity purchases. He founded SIMEC, LLC which was a pioneer in Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) companies in the US and has been in business since 2011. He later started the W Companies to develop and finance energy infrastructure projects and led efforts to open an office in London and lead Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in Europe for Voltus, Inc.
Stephen holds a B.A. from the College of Charleston and lives in Austin, TX.

Chip Welsh
Co-Founder
Chip is an entrepreneur and investor with 15 years of experience in the alternative investment industry. Most recently, Chip founded a venture-backed beverage company, Soonish “Natural Beer”, leading its development, launch, and broad expansion across California before partnering with a consumer-focused investment group. Previously, Chip was a Partner at Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in Singapore. Prior to Antler, Chip was Head of Capital Formation at B Capital Group, a global venture capital firm headquartered in Singapore. Chip began his career in New York City, where he held capital formation & investor relations roles at SkyBridge Capital, Epoch Investment Partners, & First Avenue Partners.
Chip holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Andrew Koger
Business Development Advisor
Andrew has spent 10+ years investing and operating in emerging markets globally. He started his career as an Investment Analyst at Equinox Partners based in New York City. At Equinox, he focused on long term value investing in high quality publicly-traded businesses around the world. Andrew has spent the last 7 years in the Philippines, working in business development for Alibaba’s Southeast Asian e-commerce business and then co-founding two venture-backed technology companies. He is also co-founder of Buko Ventures, a leading early-stage venture fund in Southeast Asia and Africa.
Andrew holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Princeton University and lives in Manila, Philippines.
